USES AND APPLICATIONS
KLEINOX 4028 (AISI 420B) martensitic stainless steel and it is ESR remelted. Its corrosion resistance is at its best in the quench-tempered, fine polished and passivated condition. It is well adapted for medical, surgical and dental instruments. It is also used in various industries for the production of gears, bolts and nuts, screws as well as for tableware’s.

Diameters: 1.00 – 15.00 mm
Tolerances: ISO h8 (up to h5)
Delivery conditions: in cold drawn or ground bars 3m and Coils

Tensile Strength: ca. 700 – 1000 N/mm2 , depends on diameter
Heat treatment: hardening: 980 – 1030°C
Hardness Max: 47 HRc
Cutting speed: 25 – 45 m/min
Lubrificant-cooling fluid i.e.: INOX or ORTHO Motorex
