USES AND APPLICATIONS
KLEINOX 4104 (AISI 430F) hardenable martensitic stainless steel with an increased S content to enhance its machinability. In order to obtain a satisfactory corrosion resistance, the machined parts must previously be tempered, polished and passivated. Good corrosion resistance in weak alkaline solutions. It is well adapted for turned parts and mechanic instruments.

Diameters: 1.00 – 15.00 mm
Tolerances: ISO h8 (up to h5)
Delivery conditions: in cold drawn or ground bars 3m and Coils
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Before hardening
Tensile Strength: ca. 700 – 900 N/mm2 , depends on diameter
Heat treatment: hardening: 950 – 1050°C
Hardness Max: 40 HRc
Cutting speed: 50 – 60 m/min
Lubrificant-cooling fluid i.e.: INOX or ORTHO Motorex
