USES AND APPLICATIONS
KLEINOX 4542 (AISI 630) is a precipitation hardenable martensitic steel. This steel has high toughness and corrosion resistance. Good features of machinability and hardening. Better machinability is in condition P800 (H 1150M) and P930 (H 1150). This steel is well indicated for the production of surgical instruments and mechanical industries.
EXECUTIONS
Diameters: 1.00 – 15.00 mm
Tolerances: ISO h8 (up to h5)
Delivery conditions: in cold drawn or ground bars 3m and Coils
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Before hardening
Tensile Strength: 800 – 1150 N/mm2
Heat treatment: hardening: in condition P800 or P930 it must be annealed before the hardening
Hardness Max: 44 HRc
Cutting speed: 45 – 65 m/min
